Subtle citrus and a delicate mineral note introduce this fresh, focused Chardonnay. Bright acidity carries a light palate, with gentle texture through the middle. Crisp and understated, it offers an easy sense of refreshment and a style that sits comfortably alongside a meal.
Orchard fruit. Toasted oak.
Toasted oak and ripe stone fruit lead into peach, baked apple and a hint of caramel. Rounded texture brings depth to the palate, while fresh acidity keeps the wine balanced. Gentle spice completes a layered Chardonnay that brings richness and freshness into harmony.

Citrus, green apple and a delicate herbal note give this Sauvignon Blanc a restrained, fresh character. Bright acidity shapes a focused palate and a clean, direct finish. Lively and lightly textured, it offers an inviting style for the table, with freshness at its heart.

Floral aromas lead into an expressive palate, with fragrant notes that carry through to a lingering finish. This Viognier places its aromatic character at the center of the experience: inviting, distinctive and full of personality.

Honeysuckle and peach open this aromatic blend of Chardonnay and Viognier, followed by a light citrus note. Floral lift meets gentle texture on a palate with appealing depth and a layered finish. Fresh and expressive, the two varieties come together in an easy, harmonious style.

Dark plum, blackcurrant and ripe black fruit lead a Malbec of depth and balance. Polished tannins shape a generous palate, allowing the fruit to unfold within a harmonious structure. This Reserve expression brings richness and poise together in a composed, satisfying glass.

Ripe plum, dark cherry and a generous, jam-like fruit character shape this Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is broad and approachable, with moderate structure that lets the fruit take the lead. A rounded, welcoming expression of Cabernet, with an emphasis on ripeness and ease.

Dark plum and blackberry lead this full-bodied Syrah, with subtle savory notes adding depth. Well-integrated oak supports a generous, structured palate, while balanced acidity keeps it composed. The finish unfolds in layers, bringing the fruit and savory character together.

Fragrant bergamot and dried herbs meet a subtle note of green pepper in this distinctive Cabernet Franc. Supple tannins give the palate a fluid texture, while lively acidity brings definition. Savory and aromatic, it moves easily from the first impression to the finish.

OUR STORY
We’re Rob and Anastasia Gray, owners of Chelan Estate Winery. Our property on the south shore of Lake Chelan is the starting point for a collection that reaches across Washington wine country.
Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay and the fruit for our white blend grow on the estate. In our current collection, estate fruit sits alongside wines made with Columbia Valley grapes, including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Syrah.

THE ESTATE’S EARLY YEARS
Chelan Estate’s beginnings are part of the valley’s early winegrowing story, with Pinot Noir at the heart of the original vision.
Small vineyard trials began, exploring the potential for wine grapes beside Lake Chelan.
South-shore acreage was purchased in December 1999. The estate vineyard was planted in 2000, following Bob Broderick’s search for a place to grow Pinot Noir.
Under Rob and Anastasia Gray’s ownership, Chelan Estate brings together its own vineyard fruit and wines from across Columbia Valley.
The early milestones are recorded in the Lake Chelan Wine Valley’s 2020 winery guide and Washington Tasting Room’s 2015 profile.
OUR CORNER OF WASHINGTON
On the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains, Lake Chelan runs through a valley carved by ice. Vineyards around its southern end share an unusually close relationship with the water, the hillsides and the soils beneath them.
Recognized as an American Viticultural Area in 2009, Lake Chelan is a distinct winegrowing region within the larger Columbia Valley.
The lake acts as a temperature buffer, softening summer heat and moderating nearby vineyards’ climate. Its influence can extend the growing season and reduce frost risk.
Glacial sediments, volcanic ash and pumice shape the region’s soils. Beneath them lies granite rather than the basalt common across much of eastern Washington.
Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are among the grapes suited to Chelan’s moderate conditions. The region also grows Syrah, Merlot, Riesling and a broad range of other varieties.
